Alan Montague, CPLP

 

Alan is founder and President of IMPROVing Organizations. He is a Certified Professional in Learning and Performance with over 15 years experience on four continents helping people learn.

 

An Accelerated Learning professional, Alan is a member of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), the Applied Improvisation Network (AIN) and a former member of the International Alliance for Learning (IAL).


As part of the leadership of the Applied Improvisation Network, Alan served as Secretary and chaired the 2008 AIN conference, bringing skilled improvisers together from around the world to share best practices and experiences of applying improvisational skills in business.


Alan serves as VP of Programming for the Golden Date Chapter of ASTD and has previously served as a Chapter Leader for the Chicagoland Chapter of ASTD as VP Finance in a year that reversed multiple years of financial decline and put the chapter back on a healthy financial footing.
 

Alan has presented at both AIN and IAL conferences and chapter meetings on Accelerated Learning and the use of improvisation in team building.

 

Alan has studied advanced improvisation techniques at:

  • The Second City Chicago Training Center, including their Conservatory Program.
  • The Annoyance Theatre, Chicago including studying under Mick Napier
  • ComedySportz Chicago
  • Improv Olympic Training Center, Chicago
  • BATS Improv Training Center, San Francisco
